Chapter 12: Bring Me To Life

(Song: Alten Mara - Mythos)

Jacob gathered up his books as Bella finished up her essay. He grinned down at the way she had scrunched up her nose, indicating she wasn’t satisfied with what she’d written. Shaking his head, he leaned over and placed a quick kiss on her nose, breaking her concentration. She blinked up at him before raising one eyebrow in question.

He pointed to his watch before leaning over to whisper to her in the crowded library. “If you don’t hurry, you won’t have time to go home and get ready for our date.”

She frowned. “I know, but this essay still needs work. Can we cancel…”

“Uh uh,” he replied. “We’ve been putting this off for weeks now and I’m tired of waiting. Besides, it’s Friday and your essay isn’t due until next week. Come on Bells, I want to take my girlfriend out on a real date. Don’t you think we’ve wasted enough time?”

She sighed as she began to collect her own belongings. “Okay, yeah. You’re right. Let’s head home and get ready for our date.”

He stopped what he was doing to give her a hurt look. “Geez, don’t sound so enthusiastic about it, why don’t you?”

Bella immediately felt horrible about the way she had sounded. This wasn’t the first time she had given Jacob the impression that their new relationship wasn’t a top priority for her even though it always was. She knew Jacob knew how much he meant to her, but he was a lot more affectionate and open about their relationship than she was.

She quickly looked around then made her way to Jacob’s side, wrapping her arms around his shoulders to pull him down to her for a passionate kiss. He grinned against her lips as she made it up to him and when she pulled away, she whispered into his ear.

“I love you.”

His smile widened as he nuzzled her nose with his. “Love you too, honey. Now let’s go ‘cause I’ve got reservations.”

Her eyes widened as they gathered up their belongings and quickly walked through the library, Jacob tugging her hand with his. She tried to keep up with his long strides until they reached the elevators. As Jacob pressed the button, she looked eagerly up at him.

“Reservations? Really? Are you going to tell me where we’re going?”

The elevator dinged softly and the doors opened as Jacob gave her a lopsided grin. “Yes. Yes. And no.”

“What? But…”

Her words were halted as he pulled her into the elevator and kissed her breathless. Luckily, no one else was in there to see how flushed she was. When he pulled away from her, he pressed the button for the ground floor then went back to kissing her. Once again the elevator dinged and the doors opened, but Bella was a little too muddled to realize they had reached the ground floor.

She simply let Jacob steer her out of the elevator, out of the library and into the warm afternoon sun. Only when they were outside did she get her wits about her. Immediately she planted her feet and narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend.

“Jacob Ephraim Black! Don’t try to change the subject! I want to know where you’re taking me!”

Jacob turned to her with a sigh. “It’s a surprise.”

She pouted. “Oh come on! It’s our first real date!”

He nodded. “That’s right. Which is why it’s a surprise.” He moved closer to her and brushed his knuckles against her cheek tenderly. “Bells, it’s me. You know I’d never take you somewhere you wouldn’t like. You have to trust me.”

His soft words and the way he looked into her eyes told her the truth and made her melt.

She nodded. “Okay, I trust you.”

He smiled. “Good.”

He took her hand again and together they walked to their cars.

(Song: Nightwish - Moondance)

Jacob finished buttoning up the grey shirt he donned for his date with Bella, then picked up the dark grey tie that matched the jacket he would be wearing with it. As he began to loop the tie around his neck, he heard a snicker come from his bedroom door.

“Well what do we have here? Someone’s getting all suave and handsome for his date, isn’t he?”

Jacob simply gave Embry a droll stare as he locked gazes with him in the mirror. “Ha, ha. Very funny. You only wish you could look this good.”

Embry strolled into the room, shaking his head. “Not cool, Black! I think I can clean up as good as you do!”

“In your dreams Em!” replied Jacob as he finished with his tie then reached for his jacket.

He turned to look at Embry, who sat down heavily in one of the club chairs Jacob had in a corner of his room. “What are you doing here anyway?”

Embry grinned at him. “Did you really think I’d miss this historic occasion? Besides,” he whipped out his cell phone. “I was the one voted to take pictures as proof.”

Jacob rolled his eyes. “You were voted.”

“Yep! You know Leah made a good case…no one dared go against her wishes.”

Jacob had to laugh. He knew Embry was right. If Leah wanted something done she usually coerced someone into it by using some form of threat or by making a great presentation. The woman had a way with words, no doubt about it.

“Still, why do you guys need photographs now? Bella and I have been dating for a few weeks now. This is just our first official date night.”

“And that’s exactly why we all want proof. You two may be boyfriend and girlfriend, but date nights are serious shit! And we want to see it because then we’ll know you two aren’t just talk anymore. Besides, you know we’re not gonna let this slide! I think Leah wants this on a billboard: It’s official! Jacob Black is off the market for good since Bella Swan finally agreed to date his sorry ass!”

Jacob tsked. “And she said she wasn’t bitter.” He suddenly froze and looked worriedly at his friend. “She isn’t, is she?”

Embry rolled his eyes. “Of course she isn’t dude! She was never that into you!”

“Uh huh…how about you?”

Embry made a face. “Ew, Black! Like I’d ever be into your hairy ass!”

Jacob shook his head as he gave Embry a serious look. “No Em, you know what I’m talking about.”

Embry tucked his cell back into his jeans pocket before answering his friend. “No Jake, I’m not bitter. I had my chance with Bella almost four years ago, but it wasn’t meant to be. I always knew it would be you and her. We all did…except you and Bella.”

Jacob sighed as Embry cracked a smile at that last bit. “I knew I wanted to be with her Em, I just didn’t think she wanted me.”

Embry scowled. “Blind! That’s you. If you saw how many times she moped after you! Even I knew that night at prom, she wanted to be your date, not mine.”

Jacob scowled right back. “Thanks Em, for telling me four years too late!”

He shrugged. “Your loss.”

Jacob grinned at that. Embry was repeating the same words Jacob had mouthed to him that night at the prom when he’d tried to get Embry to dance with Bella. Jacob had ended up dancing with her for most of the rest of the night and then afterwards, he’d slept in her arms.

His grin widened into a full blown smile at the memory. “My gain.”

The words came out softly, but Embry heard them just the same. He walked over to Jacob and shoved him lightly with his shoulder.

“Come on bro, time’s a-wasting. Let’s get this show on the road.”

Jacob gaped at him. “Hold on! You don’t mean to follow us on our date to take pictures of us do you?”

Embry cackled. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you? But no, I’m just gonna snap a few of you picking her up and then of the two of you going to dinner. After that you’re on your own.”

“Does Bella know about this?”

“She will when I pull up behind you as you pick her up,” grinned Embry.

Jacob began shaking his head. “No! Embry, hell no!”

“Jake, man, chill out! You know her parents will want to take pictures too!”

Jacob sighed. He wasn’t sure about that, he’d seen the looks on Charlie’s face every time he walked into the room when Jacob was with Bella. He and Bella hadn’t discussed it, but he was sure Charlie wasn’t as thrilled about their new relationship as his own parents were.

“Jacob, honey, don’t you think you should hurry? You don’t want to miss your dinner reservation,” came his mother’s voice from the hallway.

Jacob took one last look at himself in the mirror before heading to the door, just as his mom appeared there. She gave him an appraising look, then moved up to straighten his tie and smooth down his jacket.

“You look wonderful, son! Bella is a lucky girl!”

Jacob couldn’t stop the blush from rising on his cheeks. He’d long gotten over being shy or embarrassed around girls, but his mom was another thing entirely. He couldn’t help that when she complemented him, he turned into a bashful little boy again.

Embry clapped him on the shoulder, trying to hold back his chuckles at Jacob’s usual reaction to his mom. “Come on Jake, let’s get this night started.”

Sarah frowned at Embry as all three of them made their way down the hall towards the stairs. “Embry! You aren’t going on this date with Jacob and Bella! At least I hope not! Jacob’s been planning this for weeks!”

Embry winced. “No ma’am, I wouldn’t dream of messing this up for him.”

“Good!” she replied as they reached the bottom of the stairs just as Billy strolled into the foyer.

He grinned at his son and said, “Nice outfit! I’ll bet Bella’s going to be thrilled.”

Jacob returned his father’s grin. “That’s what I’m hoping.”

Billy chuckled as all of them walked outside to where Jacob’s car was already waiting for him. As Jacob started the car, a maid came out and handed Sarah a bouquet of orange roses which she in turn handed to Jacob.

“Thanks mom,” he said as he set the bouquet on the seat next to him.

He had taken the time to do some research on the kind of flowers to get Bella, not wanting to settle for the typical red roses like most people did. With that in mind, he looked up the meaning of a red rose and from there discovered the other rose colors and their meanings. The orange rose symbolized desire, enthusiasm, passion, excitement and fervent romance. However, that was just the tip of the iceberg. While those words alone did pertain to how he felt about Bella, so did the deeper meaning which was the real reason he had settled on selecting that particular bouquet of orange roses.

“You got everything you need?” asked his father.

Jacob nodded. “Yeah.”

“The tickets?” asked his mom.

Jacob patted his jacket pocket. “Right here.”

“Both sets?” asked his dad.

Jacob chuckled at how enthusiastic his parents were. The moment Billy and Sarah had found out that Jacob and Bella were dating, they had been ecstatic. His father had even growled an, “it’s about damn time!” before Sarah had admonished him for his language.

“Yes dad, I have all of the tickets here. Don’t worry, Bella and I won’t miss a thing.”

“Okay, then have a good time,” said Billy as Sarah leaned down to kiss her son’s cheek.

“Yes, have a good time and good luck,” added Sarah.

“Thanks!” replied Jacob as he closed his door and waved to everyone before leaving.

(Song: Within Temptation - See Who I Am)

Bella twirled around in front of the mirror one last time, making sure everything was perfect even though she already knew it was. Her two best girl friends, Angela and Alice had been over to help her with her hair and make-up. Mostly they had been there for moral support really. They knew just how important the date was for Bella, after all, it had been a long time in coming.

Just like Embry and the rest of their friends, they had teased Bella about how long it had taken for Jacob and Bella to finally admit that they liked each other, let alone go out on a date. It was true that everyone had known for years just how right Jacob and Bella were for each other…except Jacob and Bella. So it was only natural for their friends to tease them unmercifully about how clueless they were about each other and that it was about time they got their act together.

Bella smiled as her knee-length blue dress settled around her, as did the loose curls of her hair. The dress was comfortable enough for her, as were the matching strappy heels she wore. It was the perfect dress to pass for a casual date or a semi-elegant one, especially since she had no idea where Jacob was taking her. He’d only told her to wear a dress that was semi-casual, so she had chosen that one in hopes that was what he’d meant.

She picked up her dark blue shawl and matching handbag before making her way out of the room towards the stairs. As she descended, she could see her parents waiting for her in the foyer. Her father was pacing with his hands behind his back while her mother leaned against the wall with her arms folded over her chest. Bella took a deep breath and braced herself for whatever they were going to throw at her. She knew they weren’t as enthusiastic as Jacob’s parents were about their children dating each other.

As she reached the foyer floor, her mother caught sight of her and smiled at Bella’s appearance. Renee moved from the wall to take Bella’s hands in hers.

“You look lovely, sweetheart!”

Bella beamed. “Thanks mom.”

Charlie stopped pacing to frown at his daughter. “I still don’t think this is a good idea, honey.”

Bella sighed. “Dad, it’s just a date and it’s with Jacob.”

He nodded. “Yes! That’s precisely why this isn’t a good idea.”

Renee looked between father and daughter as she bit her bottom lip trying to figure out a way to diffuse the situation.

“Geez dad, he’s already practically family,” griped Bella.

“And I’d like to keep it that way!” retorted Charlie.

Renee held up her hands between them. “Okay, that’s enough Charlie! Bella, sweetheart, what your father means is that you should be careful about the way things are going between you and Jacob, if things go bad, it could affect a lot of other things in your lives.”

Bella frowned. If they only knew just how far their relationship had already gone, she was sure her father would have a heart attack. “Like what?”

Renee sighed. “Well, like your studies for one thing. We just don’t want you to forget about that when you’re so close to the end.”

Bella nodded. “I’ve got that covered. You don’t have to worry about that. I’m looking forward to graduating and taking over the business.”

She looked at Charlie in reassurance. “Really dad, you know it’s still my dream to do this.”

Charlie nodded and added, “Yes, well you will be running that business with Jacob, so if there’s bad blood between you two, it could get ugly.”

“We know that dad, but like I said, we have it covered. We’re not going to let our personal lives interfere with the business, no matter what happens. I promise.”

Charlie sighed, he knew that was the best he was going to get from his daughter. She could be just as stubborn as he was, plus she was too old to be treated like a teenager. That didn’t stop him from thinking of her like that though.

Too bad Bella wasn’t as innocent as her father thought she was.

The doorbell chimed, interrupting their conversation, making Bella smile at her parents before she flitted over to the door. She opened it to reveal a dapper Jacob whose smile widened at the sight of her as he presented the bouquet to her.

“For you, Bella,” he said.

She grinned at the lovely bouquet he gave her. All of the roses were various shades of orange, some with almost red tips, so that it created an original yet magnificent blaze of color. As she noticed the lone pink rose in the center, Jacob reached out and plucked it from the bouquet, then handed it to Renee.

“And this is for you, Renee.”

Renee smiled as she took the rose from him and brought it to her nose. “Why thank you, Jacob. It’s lovely.”

Charlie rolled his eyes before grousing, “Have her home at a decent hour, would you? It wouldn’t do to have her out cavorting at odd hours of the night.”

Bella frowned at him. “Seriously, dad?”

Jacob just chuckled as he presented his arm to Bella. “Will do Charlie. Shall we go, Bella?”

“Oh wait! I should put these in water,” she indicated her bouquet.

“I’ll do it, sweetheart,” replied Renee as she reached for it. “You and Jacob just go and have a good time, okay?”

Before Bella could hand the bouquet to Renee, Jacob plucked one of the roses out and handed it to Bella. “You should carry one, as a reminder.”

She chuckled as she handed the bouquet to Renee then took the lone rose from Jacob and looped her arm in his. Together they headed outside as Renee called out a good-bye to them and Charlie just stood there looking grumpy until Renee closed the door between them. Jacob walked Bella to the passenger side and opened the door for her, helping her inside. As he did that, she saw Embry standing not too far away with his phone held out in front of him.

She laughed. “He’s getting proof for the others, isn’t he?”

Jacob rolled his eyes. “You know it.”

She continued laughing until he leaned over to kiss her cheek as he said, “By the way, you look beautiful this evening.”

She couldn’t help but blush at his husky words. “You don’t look so bad yourself,” she replied.

He winked at her as he shut the door then jogged to his side and got in. As he drove them to their first stop, Bella lifted the rose to her nose and breathed in its fresh scent. Jacob smiled at her as she fingered the rose.

“Do you like it?” he asked.

She nodded. “Yes. It’s so different than a regular red one. I like that you went with a different color.”

He reached out to give her hand a squeeze before returning it to the gears. “The color fits us better I think.”

When she gave him a puzzled look, he grinned. “I did some research before deciding what to get you. Orange roses just fit us because of what they mean.”

She smiled. “So, what do they mean?”

“Well orange is a mixture of yellow and red, which are friendship and love respectively. So basically, orange is supposed to be a sign of an emerging relationship and the desire to see it past the friendship stage.”

Bella’s smile widened. “Wow, that really is us, isn’t it?”

Jacob chuckled. “Yeah, it is.”

As he pulled up to a light, his face turned serious as he looked at her. “But orange also represents fire which could stand for the burning desire and flames of love that I have for you. You know, the passionate heat you make me feel when you’re near.”

Their gazes remained locked until a car’s horn snapped them out of it, prompting Jacob to resume driving. Bella simply sat there blushing and smiling into the rose as she held it close to her face. She’d always thought of Jacob as a player, but what he’d just told her made him seem more romantic than she usually thought of him as. That alone told her he was still full of surprises.

(Song: Nightwish - Walking in the Air)

Her next surprise came when Jacob pulled into the parking lot of the Seattle Aquarium. No wonder their date had started so early in the evening, she had been worried that she wouldn’t be hungry enough to eat yet. As Jacob parked, she turned to grin at him.

“The aquarium?”

He chuckled. “Yeah, I know you love this place and it’s been ages since we’ve been here. I thought it was a great way to start our night.”

Bella squealed and threw her arms around him. “God, I love you!”

He grinned. “Love you too.”

They shared a hug since his car didn’t really allow for much more, then Jacob got out and went to help her to her feet. Together they walked hand in hand to the entrance, but when Jacob continued walking past the ticket booth, Bella looked up at him.

He winked and pulled out the tickets he had purchased the day before, making it easy for them to skip the lines. Jacob handed the tickets to the greeter, then they walked over to the first exhibit, Window on Washington Waters, where they gazed at life under the waters of the Puget Sound. They took their time gazing at the fish and reading the information on the walls before moving on to other parts of the aquarium.

For the next two hours, they oohed and aahed over all of the exhibits, from the hands-on “A Closer Look” and “Touch Pool” exhibits, to the “Underwater Dome” and “Marine Mammal” exhibits that included live otters, sea lions, fish and other sea life. They even played around in the “Orca Family Activity Center” and laughed over the “Ring of Life” that featured a twelve foot high ring-tank that allowed visitors to stand in it and feel surrounded by real Moon Jellies. Bella especially loved watching the river and sea otters as they swam, dived and played in their tanks.

Before they left, they stopped at the gift shop where Jacob brought Bella a plush river otter since she loved them so much. It was about six inches tall since it was sitting on its hind legs. Dark brown on the back and cream on its lower face and belly, it was so adorable that it seemed to put a permanent smile on Bella’s face. She couldn’t stop hugging it or kissing Jacob all the way to the car and to their next destination.

Bella left the otter in the car as Jacob pulled up to the restaurant they were going to be eating at. Located inside of the Edgewater Hotel, the Six Seven Restaurant was a waterfront dining experience that often required reservations to get into. Since Jacob had made reservations, they didn’t have to wait long to be seated at a table for two on the outside terrace that provided a breathtaking view of Elliot Bay, Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Even as they remarked on the sights, they continued to chuckle about Embry who had met them at the entrance where he snapped a few photos of them entering the restaurant so he could show them to their friends.

Once seated, they ordered a bottle of white wine to go with their meal and had the Alaskan King Crab Risotto as an appetizer while they watched the sun set over the water and the mountains. For their main course, Jacob ordered the 16oz New York Steak by Harris Ranch with sides of Lobster Mac and Cheese and Potato Puree while Bella ordered the Sautéed King Salmon with sides of Roasted Asparagus and an Olive Oil Sea Salt Baked Potato. Even with all of that food, they took the time to share a dessert of Molten Valrhona Chocolate Torte that included strawberries pinot noir, strawberry curd and vanilla whip all the while sitting beneath the night sky of Seattle.

After that relaxing and lengthy dinner, during which they talked idly about the aquarium and then anything that interested them, Bella was sure that the date was over, but Jacob surprised her yet again. He drove them to one of the local theatres to see a performance that was a combination of aerial arts, dance, art and fashion. It was a rather sensual performance that seemed to celebrate the life energy that flowed through everyone, in essence stating that in a way, life was immortal through an energetic consciousness shared by all living things. Needless to say, by the time the performance was over, both of them were feeling rather light-hearted and flirty, so they ended the evening with a leisurely walk along the pier, enjoying the slight breeze that had sprung up.

It was nearly midnight by the time Jacob took Bella home where he walked her to her door and handed her the plush otter he’d gotten for her. She had tucked the rose into his jacket pocket when they had gotten out of the car, telling him to keep it as a reminder of their first date.

Bella smiled as she took the otter from him. “Thank you Jacob, I had a wonderful time.”

He reached up to tuck a loose strand behind her ear. “You’re welcome. I’m glad you did. I enjoyed myself too.”

He leaned over and brushed his lips over hers before whispering, “What do you think? Should we do it again?”

Bella laughed softly. “Yeah, only without Embry’s interference and it doesn’t always have to be so elaborate.”

He smiled against her lips. “Agreed.”

She sighed as he finally kissed her fully, letting her arms wrap around his shoulders while his wrapped around her waist. She parted her lips, allowing him to deepen the kiss, enjoying the way his tongue danced and curled with hers. As she began to lean her body against his, he pulled back to rest his forehead against hers.

“We better stop before it goes further.”

“What if I want it to go further?” she murmured, trying to kiss him again.

It wasn’t as if they hadn’t made love since becoming an official couple, but Jacob wanted that evening to be perfect.

He groaned. “Bells, please. I’m not that strong! And I want this night to end perfectly. Let’s not make your father hunt me down, okay?”

She moved back and pouted. “Fine, but he’s going to have to understand that I’m a grown woman who can make her own decisions and live with the consequences.”

Jacob grinned as he pecked her lips again. “You be sure to keep telling him that, okay? I swear he has it out for me!”

Bella ran her fingers along his jaw. “He’s just worried about my future, that’s all. It’s not you, he actually likes you.”

“Coulda fooled me.”

She chuckled. “Are you scared of my dad?”

“Terrified,” he answered huskily before swooping in for another deep kiss.

When air became necessary, he set her on her feet with a drunken grin. “Goodnight Bells.”

She answered with a very similar grin. “Night Jake.”

(Song: Evanescence - Bring Me To Life)

Jacob allowed his fingers to trail lightly down Bella’s spine as she lay on her stomach besides him. He smiled at the goosebumps that appeared on her exposed skin, prompting him to lean over to begin nibbling her shoulder. At first Bella seemed to ignore him, then she wiggled her shoulder and turned her head to glare at him.

“Jacob! Focus!”

“I am focused,” he mumbled against her skin. “I’m focused on trying to arouse my girlfriend.”

She tsked. “Not on me, you dork! We’re supposed to finish choosing our course schedules for the fall semester, Jake! It’s our last year of college and I agreed to try to match my schedule with yours remember?”

He sighed. “Yeah, I know. It’s just taking longer than I thought it would.”

Bella sat up and turned to face him. “Come on, Jake. We’re almost done, okay? Let’s try this one more time and then we’ll call it a day.”

He leaned in to touch her nose with his. “Promise?”

She chuckled. “Promise.”

He stood up and offered her his hand, helping her to her feet before they made their way to the bar where the phone rested. They each took their turns dialing the university to lock in their fall schedules until they finally got it coordinated enough to their liking. They both had decided to try to take as many courses together as they could and the ones they couldn’t, they at least tried to take a course at the same time the other took another course. This left plenty of time for them to have to spend together when they wouldn’t be working or studying.

As soon as Bella finished the last of her scheduling and set the phone down, Jacob pounced. They were in the Swan’s pool house where they had retreated to do their schedules after a bit of splashing around in the pool. Their junior year was nearly over and Bella had suggested a dip in the pool to help release the tension of all the year-end stress they had accumulated before they tackled their schedules for next year. All day long, Bella had looked mouthwatering in her aqua-blue, checkered, lace-trimmed bikini making Jacob wish he hadn’t agreed to a swim before they got down to business.

The waiting was killing him.

Bella let out a squeak as she was yanked off of the stool she’d been sitting on before Jacob carried her to the nearby couch where he sat down with her in his lap. She started to laugh at his eagerness until he began kissing her, then all coherent thoughts flew out of the window.

Jacob wasted no time kissing her breathless, but he slowed down as his hands began to roam over her curves. He let his fingers trail over the warm, satiny skin from her shoulders down to her legs. He stopped a few times along the way, letting his fingers entice Bella’s body into wanting him more than his kisses had already done.

He stopped at her breasts, pushing the tiny bikini top aside to expose the sweetly curved mounds to his gaze. Then he began to gently knead them with his fingers when his mouth and tongue weren’t greedily licking and sucking on them. Bella could only writhe in his lap with her arms around his bare shoulders, one hand in his hair to hold him to her.

His next stop was over her navel as she leaned back onto the couch. He dipped his tongue inside and made her moan and grip his shoulders harder. He let his tongue trail from her navel to the edge of her bikini bottom, then he followed the path of the cloth, occasionally dipping his tongue beneath the edge until Bella let him know she’d had enough.

She tugged at his hair as she moaned, “Jacob, please! Stop teasing me!”

Jacob didn’t stop trailing his lips over the skin of her stomach as he hooked his fingers into her bottom and began sliding it down her legs. Bella lifted her hips to help him, then settled back into his lap as he pulled the cloth off of her legs. He tossed it to the ground as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and lifted her so that he could kiss her again. As his lips devoured hers, he let his fingers trail up her leg, stopping to caress the inside of her thigh until she whimpered and opened her legs wider in invitation.

Jacob moved his fingers up her thigh and lightly grazed her soft folds, making her gasp into his mouth. Bella curled her fingers around his and pressed him closer to her heat, effectively telling him she was past the teasing. He growled into her mouth as his fingers became coated with her liquid desire, indicating just how ready she already was for him. Still, he slid a finger inside of her and began a slow pumping rhythm as her own fingers played with her bundle of nerves.

Bella tossed her head back onto the arm of the couch and closed her eyes, losing herself to the feel of her fingers and Jacob’s. Eventually Jacob pushed her fingers out of the way and used his thumb to tease her clit while he added a second finger to his invasion of her body. Bella gripped the arm of the couch with her hands as she shamelessly pushed herself onto Jacob’s hand, trying to find the end she wanted.

Jacob took in the sight of his girlfriend, all spread out and writhing on his lap and couch, enjoying the little moans and other sounds she was making at his hands. His erection was throbbing mercilessly now, but he wouldn’t stop pleasuring her if he could help it. He loved watching Bella when she was like that, knowing full and well that he was the cause of it all.

Suddenly her hands flew to his arm and gripped it as she let out a cry of release. He continued to thrust his fingers inside of her as well as teasing her pleasure button until she growled and pushed his arm away.

“Bells? What…”

His words died in his throat as Bella scrambled to her knees before him and began working him out of his black board shorts. He was vaguely aware of lifting his hips to help her get them off before she had her mouth around him. His swift intake of breath followed by a long, low moan was all the indication Bella needed to know that she had him right where she wanted him.

Jacob had barely begun to slide his fingers into her hair when she let go of him with a soft pop and rose up to straddle his lap. She locked gazes with him as she took him in hand and guided him to her opening then eased herself down onto him until he was fully embedded inside of her. The moment that he was, she shifted her hips, making them both moan in pleasure.

He gripped her hips and she slid her hands up his bare chest until they rested on his shoulders, all the while they never broke eye contact with each other. Jacob smiled at the way Bella was taking charge and Bella returned with a smile of her own as she began to rotate her hips over him. In no time at all, her body was colliding in a perfect rhythm with his, as they both moved towards the final release they longed for.

When Jacob could feel Bella’s walls gripping him in a vice-like hold right before her fingers dug into his shoulders, he watched as she threw her head back, crying out his name.

“Oh yes! Jacob! Yes!”

He continued to pull her body down onto his as he watched and felt her climax until she dragged his out of him. He growled, then let loose his own cry of passion.

“Fuck! Bella!”

She wrapped her arms around him, allowing her body to milk his until he leaned heavily against her in completion. He laid his head against her still-heaving chest, listening to her heartbeat as she ran her fingers through his sweat-soaked hair.

Bella lowered her cheek to the top of his head with a sigh. “I love you, Jake.”

He hugged her closer to him. “I love you too, Bells.”

Author's Note: You can look up the Seattle Aquarium and the Six Seven Restaurant at The Edgewater Hotel online for reference if you want. They are real places and the sights and food that I mentioned were taken from those online sites. If you do take a look at the online menu of the restaurant, take a look at the dessert menu...many of the Ports/Sherrys are made by Taylor Fladgate of Portual ;-)

Also, the meaning of the orange roses can also be found online.

If I left anything else out...just assume I found it online, okay? Thanks!
